Through the Eden Operative Program, Eden Studios offers demonstrators, playtesters and amateur writers the chance to contribute to our various products. This page details the requirements and restrictions of the Eden Operative Program.
How Do I Write For Eden?
Eden Studios is currently very well stocked with material
for all its games. If you are familiar with the Eden lines and what's
to come, and have an idea that isn't being covered, we're happy to hear
your proposal. You will need to complete a Game
Evaluation Waiver before we can consider your ideas. Web site
materials are always welcome and should be directed to Derek Stoelting
at the Garden of Eden.
How Do I Playtest For Eden?
Eden is also looking for playtesters who are committed
to reviewing and writing evaluations of our gaming products. The
playtesters have a great deal of influence on the way a book turns out.
We are primarily interested in playtesters who have active play groups
who are familiar with the Unisystem or d20 game systems.
To become a playtester, you must complete, sign and return a hard or scanned copy of the playtest non-disclosure form located below. Not all members of your playtest group need submit signed forms, but all must be familiar with its restrictions.
All playtesting is done on Yahoo playtest groups. Once your NDF is received, you will be subscribed to the individual Yahoo group for the game you specified, and you will be subscribed to a general playtest announcement listserve for notifications on future playtest opportunities. The playtest files will be located on the applicable Yahoo group, and all comments and playtest reports should be posted to that group.
How Do I Demo For Eden?
Eden welcomes any who wish to demo our games. Simply
set up the demo at your local gaming store or convention. Then send
us the time and date and we will post it on our conventions
page.

Do I Join?
Becoming a member of the Eden Operative Program
is as easy as submitting a request. Please supply your name, address,
e-mail, and phone number. You will also need to indicate the part
of the program you would like to participate in, and the game or games

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
This CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT (the “Agreement”) is made this day of ____________________________, 2004, between ____________________________________, (the “Participant”) and Eden Studios, Inc
1. Introduction. The Participant and Eden Studios, Inc intend to engage in discussions, during the course of which the Participant may create, have access to or receive information from Eden Studios, Inc, including, but not limited to, information relating to products or administrative, marketing, financial or manufacturing activities whether created or disclosed orally or otherwise, shall be considered by the Participant as proprietary and confidential (the “Proprietary Information”).
2. Nondisclosure. As consideration for having access to or receiving any Proprietary Information, the Participant agrees to protect the confidentiality of the Proprietary Information, and shall not disclose or disseminate, or permit any employee or associate to disclose or disseminate, the Proprietary Information to any third party without Eden Studios, Inc prior written consent. Should the Participant be a corporation, it shall be permitted to disclose Proprietary Information only to the limited group of Participant’s employees on an “as needed” basis to further the goals of the business discussions between the two companies. In no event, shall the Participant use the Proprietary Information for its own benefit or the benefit of any third party. The undertakings and obligations of the Participant under this paragraph (2) shall not apply to any information which the Participant can establish to have; (i) become publicly known through no action on the Participant’s part, or (ii) been known by the Participant prior to receipt from the Eden Studios, Inc
3. Return of Proprietary Information. Upon termination of any business discussion or relationship between the Participant and Eden Studios, Inc, or at Eden Studios, Inc request, the Participant shall deliver all files, documents, and other media (and all copies and reproductions of any of the foregoing) in its possession or control which pertain to Proprietary Information.
4. Nonsolicitation. The Participant agrees not to employ or solicit for employment, directly or indirectly, any of Eden Studios, Inc’s employees during the period of any business discussions or relationship with Eden Studios, Inc and for a period of six months thereafter.
5. Miscellaneous Provision. This Agreement constitutes the entire
agreement and understanding between the parties and integrates all prior
discussions between them related to the subject matter hereof. No
amendment to this Agreement shall be valid unless it is in writing and
signed by both parties. This Agreement shall be binding upon the
legal guardians, respective heirs, successors and assigns of the parties
hereto. No delay or omission by either party in exercising any right
under this Agreement shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of New York. In the event
that any term or provision of this Agreement shall be deemed by a court
of competent jurisdiction to be overly broad in scope, duration or area
of applicability, such court shall have the power, and is hereby directed,
to limit such scope, duration or area of applicability, or all of them,
so that such term or provision is not overly broad, and to enforce the
same as so limited. Subject to the foregoing sentence, in the event
any provision of this Agreement shall be held invalid or unenforceable
for any reason, such invalidity or unenforceability shall attach only to
such provision and shall not affect or render invalid any other provision
of this Agreement. The termination of any discussions, relationship,
understanding or agreement between the parties for whatever reason shall
not relieve the Participant from its obligations hereunder.
