Nuchelavee Among the vilest of the Unseleigh brood, the Nuckelavee is a foul and nightmarish entity -- an abomination of unrelenting hate and violence. Unique, as are many of the Fay, Nuckelavee preyed upon the lone coastal travelers of Scotland's past, but long ago faded into obscurity. Until now. As the Reckoning approaches, the Unseleigh have once more begun to plague the world, and the Nuckelavee has returned anew. A fell beast, Nuckelavee resembles a powerful horse with a single baleful and fiery eye. Rising from its back, joined at the waist, it bears a twisted human torso, with long sinuous arms, and a large hideous head bearing an insane leer. The terrible mien of this Fey is made all the worse, for it has no skin. Its exposed flesh is red with gore, its blood black, and its veins the yellow of jaundice. Equally at home on land, or within the briny waters of the sea, the Nuckelavee pursues its victims with relish, toying with them before brutally tearing them apart, or bearing their struggling forms beneath the suffocating waves.
Life Points: 123 Powers: Nuckelavee can breath in saltwater, and is utterly tireless (no Endurance Points). Its Speed is tripled while underwater. Given its fearful visage, those encountering the Nuckelavee must make a Fear Test with a -3 penalty. Vulnerabilities: Legend has it that the Nuckelavee could not cross fresh running water, but this is a corruption of the truth. Fresh water is as acid to the beast, and the Nuckelavee fears it greatly. Treat freshwater as a poison with a Strength Rating equal to 1 per bucketful the Nuckelavee comes in contact with. Additionally, the Nuckelavee must make a Fear Test when confronted with freshwater, with a penalty of -1 per bucketful. Failure indicates that the Nuckelavee will flee. |
